Semester Loans: Eligibility

Eligibility Requirements

1. Actively enrolled;
2. Cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher;
3. Registered at least half time (unless the number of courses is the only pending requirement for selective programs or completion of degree)
   1. A minimum of 6 hours in Fall and Spring semesters and a minimum 3 hours in Summer semesters.
4. Must complete a FAFSA Application (regardless of eligibility status);
5. Consideration given to special populations which include:
   1. Individual with physical and/or learning disability;
   2. Individuals from economically disadvantaged families, including low-income youth and adults;
   3. Single parents, including single pregnant women;
   4. Individuals out-of-work;
   5. Individuals who are homeless as described in section 725 of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act;
   6. Youth with a parent who:
      1. Is a member of the armed forces and
      2. Is on active duty.
